Happy Early Turkey Day!

Don't eat too much, and avoid any shopping centers like the plague the day after...

Harummph!

No snow, too warm, no skiing(as is traditional for us)..........
I have lots to be thankful for and I'll be sure to count my blessings, but I'm going to pout a little too. :(

Happy Thanksgiving! Drive safe out there. If you see a silver Grand Cherokee with a Mt. Snow sticker stuck in traffic on a CT highway today...wave. It'll be me. :p

Life has turned for us. Now we stay at home and the kids travel to us. We paid our dues. Appreciate it - travels and all; life goes by much faster than you think when you're in the middle of it.
Go early, eat too much, stay late, forget about work for a while!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

A few years ago, maybe more, when the kids were little tykes, we went to NYC and stayed in Times Square on Thanksgiving. Midtown is a magical place on Thanksgiving day. It is, kid-friendly. The roads are all barricaded for the parade and the cops are friendly and helpful. People are all in a good mood and demonstrate civility and courtesy. We got a nice upfront place to watch the parade at the top of the square and had a delightful morning.

Afterwards, we had a traffic-free drive through the Lincoln Tunnel to NJ and ate all the food the in-laws could offer. Strongly recommended to those with young families.
