Having second thoughts about Sugarloaf trip

I have planned a 5-day trip to Sugarloaf the second week in January. I am having second thoughts about whether or not to cancel the trip. The mountain does not appear to have much open at the moment and the weather for the rest of the week is not looking good. I have 2 days to decide what to do before I lose my deposit. Can anyone offer some feedback as to whether it would be worth it to continue with the trip? It is going to be myself and two pre-teen kids skiing. We typically go to Sunday River for this trip, but they did not have anything available where we wanted to stay.

Early January cancel late maybe you get lucky. Change the date and go with a zone very cheap. summit

Some resorts are working with those who had plans and allowing them to change to a different date.

Cancel while you can and rebook in a few weeks if the situation improves. How busy can they be in the second week of January. Given how terrible the start of the season has been you might even be able to get a better deal. The temperature is suppose to drop right after Christmas, if they get 1O cold days in a row the conditions will be vastly better than they are now.

Things can change very quickly. Are you looking for fun, steep groomers, woods, what? They actually have the best offerings in New England right now.

Thanks for the input everyone. The reason I chose this week was for the children's festival. We have decided to cancel and use the trip money for day trips. I was looking forward to skiing there because I have never been there (I typically ski Cannon). Oh well, maybe mother nature will be kind and we can try again later in the season.

I get it! I am having second thoughts for end of January for the Summit. Unless early January proves fruitful, I may have to pull the trigger.
