Got an offer from my Sunday skiing buddy, who I haven't skied with in a season and a half due to multiple injuries. He invited me to ski Holiday Valley, then go see Grand Funk Railroad after. Has anyone seen these guys lately? Supposedly they still have four original members intact. Usually these has been bands have one original member left. I remember seeing "The Guess Who" many years ago, Burton Cummings, one of the best singing voices in rock IMHO, was definitely not there, maybe the original drummer was. I like GFR's music, never owned any of their albums, but remember hearing good things about their live shows back in the day. They're an American band.;) Should be a fun day of skiing and music tomorrow.

There were only 3 members of Grand Funk (Farner, Brewer & Shatner(?). I have no idea if they're all still together. Saw them a couple of times way back when in MSG (70's). Farner was always bare chested wearing glitter pants, that probably wouldn't be attractive today.

Yeah, I really didn't know too much about the band, just watched a VH1 Where are they now on Youtube about them. Farner is not with them now, so it won't be the same. They're music was part of the sound track of my teen years, but never got into them enough to learn much about them. Interesting story, garage band from Flint Michigan selling out Shea Stadium quicker than the Beatles. I am curious to hear them, footage from 1974 live show is pretty impressive. Better get a few z's, got a long day ahead of me.
