I must have ADHD because when I read I am constantly clicking and dragging on text on the page. Nothing specific, just arbitrary clicking and highlighting. I didn't even realize I did it until I was reading yesterday night and my wife asks me what the hell I am doing clicking and dragging, clicking and dragging, just while reading some article.

Does anyone else do this? Yes, I am mildly Type A :)

I do sometimes highlight text to keep my place in long uninterrupted paragraphs, or if I need to go do something else before finishing a piece. But, it doesn't sound like that's what you're talking about.

I have this habit of just clicking and highlighting constantly. Yeah, it's definitely not functional at all. Just random clicks basically ;)

I know. I saw another thread on another forum and all these people jumped in and said they also did it.

Apparently here I am the only one.

I highlight the line I'm reading when I know I'm about to look away. I'll also do it when I'm reading "wall of text" so I don't end up re-reading the same line again. I also do it when I'm reading something really technical where I have to read it multiple times to make sure I comprehend it. I'm marking the point where I stopped reading so when I back up and re-read, I know where my stopping point was.

If I'm just regular ol' reading, I don't do it.
