The Elemental Rain vest was constructed of E5 2-layer barrier rainshell, which is windproof and highly water resistant. So while we can't guarantee that you'll stay dry to the bone, your core won't be subjected to wind. That way, even if you do get wet, your jersey won't act as an evaporative cooler. The fabric is quiet, which although not a requirement in raingear, keeps you from sounding like you're wearing a bag of potato chips while you're riding. A high collar helps to keep the elements out and knit sleeve openings seal around your arms.
The vest features a relaxed fit so that you have room for a long-sleeve jersey. The rear zippered pocket also has a flap to keep out the rain.
