How have crowds been?

So I have a day off tomorrow, and contemplating heading up to ski (keeping it within a 3 hr drive from Boston). How have crowds/conditions been? I've been searching around for reports and such, thinking of hitting Mt. Snow or maybe Killington. Crowds worse/better than normal holiday weeks? Any opinions from people up north skiing is welcome. Thanks!

Mount Snow's crowds have been decent, but very manageable. They've been spinning ALOT of lifts, and having all the park features over at Carinthia has really helped spread the crowd volume around the hill. Plus, they'll have LOTS of fresh "fan made" snow tommorrow as they're looking to light up around 190 acres of fan gun terrain tonight :snow:

Killington is the usual Christmas week pattern. The family and novice areas are very busy. The Gondolas are busy. The new high speed quad at Bear is busy. The fixed grip lifts are stopping frequently from all the low skill people. The advanced terrain is pretty lightly used. All the people on Blackout passes aren't here.

SR hasn't been bad at all, except for the pesky wind holds that have had Jordan, Aurora and White Cap on an hourly status. Even so Barker + Spruce lifts were no more then 5 mins wait. Conditions were "less then optimal" yesterday though.. Very UGLY by mid afternoon ! Should be a lot better today though, w/ temps back below freezing and a full resurfacing last night. Snowing lightly right now...
