It was one of the better powder days at Hunter I have had in a long time. I would not say the mountain was empty but it was not the normal crazy frenzy you would get at Hunter on a powder day. It snowed all day and I think the total was 14". The powder was not light but not heavy it had a perfect creamy feel that stuck to all the hardpacked surfaces. I was at the rope line on Westway one minute after the rope dropped and had many face shots. The fun run of the day was Clair's and 42nd street. The video are first turns on the Highlands and yes we needed to earn our turns and it was well worth it.
