If you can't get CBC check out WCSN. It's online and it costs $4.95 a month but you get to see the entire field race, not edited to fit in a time slot. I hook my computer up to my TV and watch it that way, just like if it were actually on TV.

Thanks for the tip. I've seen the name before but never investigated, but now with HS INternet, it's worth the venture. That's a great venue and a helluva lot cheaper than cable. The unedited version is also worth the price. And I can unsubscribe after ski season, since I don't watch any other tele!

it's was just a series of expert trails as i recall... we skied a couple dh runs when we were there...

I know, but thaqt kinda stuff gets me jacked right up. Dunno why, just does. I know when I'm at Whiteface I'll ski that DH and think of all the greats that raced right in the same spot I am. Just neat stuff to me.

You do get a feeling of history for sure... It's cool...

I'll claim it too. 1981 to be exact. one week in St. Anton, one week in Kitzbuhel. As I recall, it was hardpack on one day, 3 feet of powder the next. I popped a gasket it was so deep.

It is cool to be able to ski into town. In fact, the lifts are in the village. Ski down, pop your bindings, walk 20 steps, you're having lunch and a brew....

i went in the later 80's... maybe 87, 88... And it wasn't all that great.. Total hardpack and barespots..

My Dad and i got drunk in the village... The waiter asked him what he wanted and Dad said "beer,beer"... the waiter thought we said "vier beer" - so he brought us 4 beers(liters).. Great way to start happy hour..

WCSN is good stuff. I like what they're doing. I use it to watch fencing World Championships every year. I hope they are doing well financially so that they can keep up with the good stuff.
