Boy o boy has the internet empowered the consumer in this day and age. It does bring a certain level of accountability to people providing rpoducts, and as a consumer of products, I LOVE IT.
Weather it's a case of the the Sugarbush Ruler, a snow report that fails to mention the 1/2 inch of rain that fell after the 10 inches of powder accumulated, or a ski shop not honoring a deal, I think the free flow of information SHOULD empower us as consumers. Funny that Hunter Mtn is getting ripped, and yet ski haus is getting defended. Lol.

Well - Hunters Quad is breaking down constantly - it's a known fact...
Ski Haus is defended until the real story comes out... Based upon her tenor - I really want to know if the shop is at fault..

It's just poor form to carpet bomb the net with this crap...

Perhaps, but on a larger scale, the web does provide us (consumers) with an avenue for repercussions against lager retail entities when we get jacked. And I think we have all gotten Jacked in the past, I know I have.

I tend to take being "jacked" by a store as a case by case thing...
I certainly wouldn't try to take out a store because a sales guy dicked me...

Perhaps, but I think it's important to put some of these things into perspective. Life's too short for petty crap and sometimes you just gotta move on. Perhaps I'm too passive, but for me life's complicated enough. Some people live for drama though.

Some of the complain maybe a bit overboard. But all in all, I like the net as a source of the "little guys" getting their voice out.

If a shop is a good one, even if they fucked up once or twice, BADLY, you'll see plenty of defenders to their credit.

When a shop/resort gets no credit but only complain, you know full well what's likely the real picture.

Its all about picking your battles.

The key word in that statement is 'your' as it pertains to yourself.

What might seem like a minor annoyance to you (not you personally, just generally) could be a really big deal to someone else. For some individuals, being told how they should feel or react to a situation will only set them off further. This is what I believe to be the case with Swampdogs experience.

For me I've found the best approach is to allow them to vent and simply say, "I'm sorry you feel that way. I know for me, I'd handle it in such and such away, but that's for 'you' to decide." Being critical of someone's feelings, their reaction to those feelings and telling them what they should feel / do doesn't always go over well with some folks.
