It's going to be a quiet day around here, isn't it? With around 30 members (give or take) at Hunter today, I feel like I'm all alone..........

So... who's done Christmas shopping? Anything interesting going on this weekend? Anybody out there....?

Sorry x-mass shopping does not take place on ski days. My wife thinks that is a wrong thought process. Hope she enjoys the shopping. I too am jealous of those at Hunter.

Wish I was skiing, too. Instead, I'm stuck home with the rugrats while Brian has a great time with the others. That's alright, I guess... I'm still pretty sore from my wipeout the other night.

Christmas shopping is almost done...went on a weeknight, no crowds. My wife took care of the shopping for the kiddos so it was a lot easier for me this year. :-D

If I didn't have stuff going on at work I would not be here today. Hope to get work done over the weekend so I can take Monday off.

I hear ya Doc. I've got the scrubs on this AM and the hands have already been in multiple pairs of gloves. The schedule has stayed intact and the phone's been ringing ALOT so far. Going to be a busy day.

As for x-mas shopping, come on as a guy I'm genetically dispositioned to procrastinate about this stuff ;) I just need a little stress to get me in the x-mas shopping mode, like when it's December twentysomething :)

you still going to be around the River for a few days?

Yeah I rented a place in brookside for the week, not yet sure if we are driving up saturday night or sunday morning.

I was going to reply to the other thread once i figured out a plan and the forecast. If you want to meet up for some turns or a beer let me know.

Sunday afternoon at Barker?

I have the day off, the kid had a 2 hr delay, but will be on the bus soon. Got about 90% of my shopping done. The day is all mine to do whatever I want, yet I can't go skiing as I promised the wife I wouldn't go without her until I've proven my reconstructed knee won't blow-out on me. She doesn't want to have to hitch a ride, then drive my big-ass truck back home, with me all lame in the passenger side again...

Can't say I blame her, it sucked ending the season 3 days before the great V-Day Nor'Easter last year, and the way things are shaping-up this year, I couldn't imagine doing that again...

C10 It's a wise man that keeps his Queen happy :D

It's really to keep me happy- she's been complaining that she doesn't really feel like skiing much, fter last year's disasterous season. She has hinted that new skis might get her excited again. THis benefits me greatly.

How do you think I got sucked into skiing in the first place? LOL! But yes, it's always good to keep the missus happy. Happy wife=happy husband. :D

Take care of that knee! I don't blame her for being concerned. I have to be honest that I never really thought much about knee injuries... till I wiped out on Wed night and mine was hurting. Thankfully, I don't think it's anything permanent. But it was scary thinking my season was done before it even started. :-o

Good for you for having so much of your shopping done! I'm impressed. More than I have done!

12 days off! NICE! Enjoy!

That sounds about right! ;) There have been a couple of Christmases where Brian was out trying to find something on Christmas Eve (as the stores are closing). And let's not forget the Christmas where he wrote up a gift certificate for me as we were getting ready to open presents at my parents' house.

I'm off to do some shopping now myself. Have to pick up some stuff at EMS. Not sure what else. If anyone is interested, though, EMS is having an "up to" 50% off sale on outerwear. Some items are today only on the website so it's worth checking out.

Might as well go do something other than sitting at this glow box all day...

At least you got to ski before work! :D

Well, no skiing for me today but at least I was able to cross a few more names off the Christmas shopping list. Something was accomplished, right?

I just kept reminding myself that with temps in the 40s here and snow melting everywhere, at least I wasn't missing out on powder conditions. :???:
