The Sneak and I had been planning on Stowe tomorrow, but coming from Providence i'm a little hesitant to drive all that way and pay that money for ice. What is my best bet for tomorrow within Stowe range of Providence RI.

Groomers will prolly bo OK. Skiing broken up crust will prolly be ok. Don't expect any quite, bottomless feeling turns turns anywhere. Someone could end up with some lake effect magic in the AM, but that's real tough to call. I'd say start heading for J and stop to check snow reports before you get to 89...if you're dead set on skiing...

I read reports that it was actually pretty nice. Crust was not too much of a factor. More like 6" than 10 though, but not icy. I was thinking about driving up tonight but decied there was not enough snow to really make it worth the drive for 1 day.

Here at the Bush we had about an inch of breakable crust and 6-8" of new snow. Being the first day of our big 50th birthday weekend we a good crowd, parking lot was full so when the sun came out in the morning and the crust got skied off all the snowmaking trails were skiing very well. Castlerock was abit dicey tho with no snowmaking.

I know it's a little late to post this, but Loon looked to be in pretty good shape, and my friend skied Cannon this morning and said it was okay. So, if you're going to be in the neighborhood tomorrow this will be useful.

Well, I know at least one mountain that had stellar not-quite-boot-deep untracked today :D There is almost always some place worth going unless every mountain got a hard rain freeze event with no wrap around.

Although I haven't gone to their site yet and/or seen any reports but I would say JPeak.
I know of at least two K-Zoners that went up there today but may not have a report until later this evening.
