A little off topic, I have turned into a Whole Foods shopper for beef & poultry. I hit the one in Hadley and buy almost all of my beef & poultry products there. It really does not cost that much more to buy grass fed, life on one farm, humanely turned into steak, etc. beef than it does buying good quality beef from Price Chopper.

I've actually never been to a Whole Foods. I do remember randomly going to some place in Northampton called "Bread and Circus". I remember some hippy dude yelling at my brother and I because we ate a few nuts out of some jar. "Hey Man! Doncha be doin' that!" We were both under 10.

I've never seen "USDA Prime" at a Price Chopper. They sell "Certified Angus" which is middle-grade "USDA Choice" and crappy "USDA Select" grade for everything else.

Actually "Certified Angus" is a program that only accepts the top 7% of Choice graded cattle. "Choice Plus" if you will. The misleading part of it is that the Cattle only have to be 51% Angus. Next to Wagyu, Black Angus cattle are genetically the best breed of cattle in terms of tendency to marble. Brandt Beef is a common all natural beef brand that is very well marbled, but they are male Hereford (dairy cattle). They achieve this buy keeping them on a feed lot pretty much from birth. So, while they never see antibiotics or steroids, those cattle never see a pasture in their lives.

I'll take a Myer All Natural Choice product over your standard USDA Prime boxed beef any day. Others prefer Grass fed, which really has little marbling at all, but takes on a strong flavor from the grass.

Whole Foods has a lot of great stuff. But, they aren't as 'heady' as they lead most people to believe.
