Date(s) Skied:
3/8/2011 + 3/12/2011
Resort or Ski Area:
Jay Peak
Conditions:
Tuesday, deep pow, Saturday, wierd grabby snow.
Trip Report:
Movin up
shot of the day, random skiier in Beaver Glade:
North Glade:
The sunday before was a wash, and I wanted to go to a friends funeral, so I shot home Sunday.. Monday was a sad day, but there was a silver lining... Most of Jay's lifts were on wind-hold on Monday. So I opted to shoot north and hit Jay on Tuesday. Great day, plenty of untracked lines off of Flyer.
Went back this saturday, more base -- but snow texture completely different.. Snow was a bit grabby, with about 3" of wet stuff, underneath a thin layer of crust, and then the base that I had been through earlier in the week. Sorry for the lack of words/pictures, but hopefully this drives home one point at least -- Jay's base is fantastic.
