36 at the base of the mountain right now with the mountain in a cloud / mist creating a very light rain. The Flyer will be open but the trail connecting tram side and stateside is closed. A slight slush on my deck with water dripping from the roof. Only hope its better up top.

Dec 17, 2005:

Jay got 14-16" all snow from this last storm and it's still snowing on and off up there. They are reporting 76+ trails that will be open, so probably close to 100%, with the face chutes, tuck chutes, and maybe green beret closed.

At the season pass holders party Saturday night Bill Stenger mentioned that the year Jay had their record snowfall also started like this winter with a very bad December. When you have a warm December the lakes stay warm which will give you more lake effect snows in January & February. Let's hope he's right.

The two years are not even close in terms of snow depth on Mansfield. I think even Bill is starting to crack :(
