Well, the title pretty much says it all. I'm the new "Director of Online Services / Online Editor" for Freeskier Magazine. I'm moving out to Boulder, Colorado at the end of this month. I'm super psyched and can't wait to start my new job. I'll still be posting in here, what can I say, I'm hooked.

So, if you're not already a subscriber to Freeskier I would highly suggest forking over the $7 a year. Ha. While you're at it, check out the new magazine "Ski Time" subscriptions are totally free.

Feels awesome to get back into the industry on a full time basis and be working for one of the most progressive and entertaining segments of the culture.

I'll be blogging the entire experience over on my personal website, www.daveamirault.com .

Congrats on the new job. How'd you manage to get it if you don't mind me asking? Be sure to give the East Coast the coverage it deserves if you can!
Good luck with everything.

I hate you.

Congrats man! Doesn't mean I don't hate you, although if you get me a job even half that cool I won't have to hate you cause I would have no reason man.

I still hate you. (Just kidding, have fun and good luck)

On a more serious note, if you ever come upon a job that requires biochemical backrounds, hit me up. I mean, with all the nothing you are going to be doing, you definately need a scientist to make sure you are doing nothing according to the laws of physics. (and by nothing, I mean anything that has to do with skiing)

Sincerely,
Drew

PS - I also wear tri pointed hats and juggle if you need entertainment?

PPS - anyone know where to get a tri pointed hat and juggling lessons?

Hey, congrats again Ozzy Ozskier.

You're going to have to find an unamed b/c bowl out there to name the Oz bowl so you won't have to go change your namesake.

Or better yet, just rename a bowl. Like one of Vail's bowls. That's what I'd do, I'd use a crayon and change the name on every trail map I could, then I'd sneak a few hand made wooden, or cardboard, signs up the lift with the new name and place them randomly around the bowl.

Do I need to get out more?

Hahahha, that thing. Believe me, many people have called dibs on it. Too bad it isn't transferrable.

Congratulations on the new job.

As far as the ASC pass goes, you can probably upgrade it to a Ski America pass and then you can ski Steamboat and the Canyons.

OZ Congrats.... Been said before.
I'll miss your fine BBQ skills. I'm not making it to the River to say good bye. Sorry. conflicts. I'll check out what your doing though. Pop back in here. It is a shame we got outings to work at the River and know you leave. Your hard work our rewards.

My apologies for introducing any sort of negativity into this thread- bad drunken poster! Bad!

Seriously, I'm sure Oz will be a great ambassador for NE. And we're all very jealous.

Congrats. Always great to see someone land a job in a field they love in a great place. Can't ask for much more.

OK: I'll take a Johnny Daemon's salery and a 31 day long extend orgasm, every month.

Good thing your photography and computer skills are better than your cooking. Good luck as I said on the SR board. Let me know if you hear of any openings for telemark companies or any ski related job for that matter.
