A couple of weeks ago I was bragging about the barely used junior Elan skis/bindings I picked up for my son at a yard sale for $5.00.
Well I think I topped that today. Found a few Lange boxes at Dick's in Danvers today marked $24.95. Started digging, some CRL 70's, 80's, 90's. Just one or two pairs of each model. I say to my buddy, "If there is one thing I have learned, it's you should always look in the boxes" AS I am grabbing a box marked CRL 70 Mens 7.5. I open it up and voila! A pair of Lange Comp 120 FR in my size 10.5!!!! They look like they may have been skied once but never thermo fit. There is no box for these specific boots, so I take them down to the register in the box they were in and paid $26.22 for a $750 pair of boots! A local shop nearby told me they would thermo fit them for $5.00. These are the 04/05 blue/orange model that retailed for $750 and I have seen them online for as low as $299.00.
Can anyone top that one?
