One question. What will a sticker do? Can't they just rip it off? NYPD registers bikes by etching a number into the frame.

I think the sticker just lets the would-be thieves know that skis are in the database. AFAIK all skis already have a unique serial number etched on them.

Ski Thief

I raised three kids. I might have noticed if one of them had started an internet "used ski sales" business. That "juvenile" had to get to and from the ski areas with his "inventory" some way. What gives?

What, were you going to ask him out or something?

Minor or not, he should be invited out behind the woodshed for a little 'splaining. With a 2X4. Or an axe handle. Whichever's convenient. Of course, if he were older, they could throw his worthless butt in jail, where someone may find a use for it.

I think his punishment should be more skiing related. Maybe send him down the headwall at tucks with his DIN at 1.

His punishment will come. He was working out of his parents house, or I should say ex-house once the lawyers finish with them. If his parents don't disipline him for forcing them into bankrupcy, the I just feel bad for him for having such bad parents.

Going to start a national ski regestry. need help doing it. any takers? ozskiier, im looking at you being I feel your the most likely to know people who would donate webspace and web skills. not to mention, know people in the industry who could help various resorts join in.

Drop me a private message, that could be something I could take up with the new job. Freeskier Ski Registry, etc.

Or, shoot me an e-mail, dave@freeskier.com
