Sweet day on the mountain, for a change we got there for the opening. Temps were single digit, but it was a nice sunny day with no wind, ok, a little in the morning :) . Still taking it easy with my wife, the fact that she hurt her knee at Hunter last week didn't help matters much. We started with a few easy runs off the Ramshead lift, then worked our way over to the Ganjala, no line, unfreakingbelieavable, felt like we were at Plattekill all day long, was just waiting for the tumbleweeds to come rolling through.

Any easy run of K peak and a run to the Base Lodge for the Kzone 10am, only ran into a few folks and then took the Superstar lift. Run down Skylark, couldn't see a thing, they were blowing snow all day long, Next we headed over to the South Ridge area , no people, pipeline had some nice bumps. Played a bit off Bear, then across to the Needles area. By about 2:30 my wife decide she had enough, her knee was bugging her so she went to the truck and hung with her friend. That gave me and my buddy a chance to get in a couple of touger runs. First we went over to Cascade. I expected some slickness, but no, was pretty nice, then we played around in th glade area a bit before checking out Coopers, still standing :) . Run down East Fall and that was the day. Over all pretty good. Here's some pics showing off the crowds:

Yeah, next time you're up there on a weekend, look for a chick with green pants, white helmet, some pink on the goggles. Most likely on O.L., skiing with other people who easily push Highway Star out of the top 30. That'd be her.

Looks like a good time. Wish I could've been up there with you, but after I woke up in the middle of the night for the second time in the last week from calf cramps I figured rest was in order. Next time...
