Left LI at 3 AM, got to K at 8. Got all our ski gear organized at the condo, then went to Snowshed to get our passes activated. Got on the K1 at about 11 AM.
Got lucky because by then Great Northern was open so you didn't have to walk down to the North Ridge area. Guns were going on Great Northern below the K1.
Open was Rime and Reason. Skiing was surprisingly good, quite edgeable and the few slick spots weren't too bad at all. Small bump line forming on the skiers left below the mid area of Rime, but showing some grass.
Lots of tracks on other trails like cascade royal flush etc. But at this point its lost some of the cover. Hopefully tonights storm will add to that.
Have to go home tonight because Iceman has his X country championships tomorrow. Hopefulyl driving on the storm won't be too bad.
All in all, worthwhile coming up, and the running I've been doing helped, legs feel pretty darn good right now. Got in between 10 and 15 runs.
