A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
If they did the guns were shut down by 7:30 am, but the trail looked the same as when they shut down sunday morning.

I'm up at first light and at 6am there were no guns... definitely did not blow last night. There's been some very strange calls this year. I remember on the initial go at it they didn't blow past 7am on the last really cold night that probably would've let them stay open the next weekend- instead it was just passholders Saturday and Sunday. Can't make money that way. They also blew one night the week before Halloween even though it was supposed to be in the 50s that week. All the money...errr...snow...melted away.

All this is gonna melt away as well.

Kudos to Copper for doing the same. Doesn't apply to me since I'm not active or retired but would be cool if this started catching on.

Lost me on that one - same as what? Free Veterans Day? Yes that is cool. At k it was all military status including honorable discharge and not retired. I have used that as our start to the season. Sad that this year that will not be the case.

Someone on another site mentioned that K said they would send out vouchers to veterans that will be good for a free day of skiing & lodging valid until mid December. I didn't see any message like that myself. Maybe it was on facebook which I don't belong to. So you might yet start your season there.

edit: it was on this site, go back one page. powhunter posted it.

I thought K was offering free skiing to any vet. So if you were only in for 4 years you'd still qualify

Copper is doing something similar, but you must be active or retired, and nothing in between

Both are correct! I served one enlistment and ski free at k and got a free express card.
