Killington - What happened to the "VT Freeride Open" - AKA BMMC REPLACEMENT....?

I was looking forward to the "VT FREERIDE OPEN" comp (BMMC REPLACEMENT) which seems to have disappeared from the events calendar, only to be replaced by some utterly rediculous jibbing....thing.....????

Anybody going to Snowmont that weekend? Not really into most of the bands so way overpriced for me. Now if it was a Metal festival it might be different!

Also, for you Killington regulars, does this have potential? Not BMMC potential, but something that could be successful. Can you see the course from the Irene Umbrella Bar?

It's going to be premium tailgating both those weekends, look for us in the parking lot and access road. What umbrella bar??

Hey at least they didn't murder the spring mogul comp altogether. The umbrella bar might actually be cool in the spring but who wants to bet that they shut down Bear even earlier this year. Especially if the bump comp has been permanently moved to Superstar.

Bear will most likely make it to April 1st and that will be the absolute end. POWDR will not keep it open beyond that even if they got 10 ft of powder that weekend. They closed last season with a massive amount of snow at Bear. Still remember the last ride down of closing day. Depressing.

Agreed. AND IT'S 100% BS BECAUSE ALL THE SNOW IS AT BEAR. THE CANYON AND SNOWDON HAVE MINIMAL SNOW COVER.

IF ANYTHING, RUN SUPERSTAR, SKYE QUAD AND MAYBE THE K-1 DURING APRIL.
