Let's go ahead and get this ouot of the way:

Killington sucks.

Killington's great

Too many Jersey Joeys

Too many Killington Shills

There. That said, not a bad idea- quick $215K in sales in 3 days. A year ago I'd have made some snide remark about that being almost enough to pay the interest on their debt for 3 days, but I don't know what their finances look like these days.

Greg, where did this press release come from? The link in the 1st paragraph brings you to K's webpage, but the link in the 4th paragraph, which has an extra 'b' in Grabber brings you to Okemo's page.:dunce::confused::idea::grin:

That's going to put a lot of people on the mountain.

No it's not. It's a maximum of 3,000 day ticket spread out over 5 days. Killington used to routinely get bombed with 20,000 skiers on Saturdays. I doubt they've had any days in the last year and a half where they broke 15,000.

I'd be happy to snap a few photos of the parking lots on Presidents Day. I'd be shocked if the Bear lot were more than 1/4 full. Midweek (Monday through Thursday; Friday is pretty busy), the place is deserted. You usually see the first two bays of the main parking lot mostly full. You usually see maybe 50 cars in the Bear lot. I doubt Presidents Week will be all that busy.

Just read the offer over. It looks like you have to designate the specific day that you want to use the $50 ticket. That sucks. At first I thought that you could use the ticket any one day during that week. With my luck, I'd pick a day and it would be pouring rain or -40 with wind holds everywhere.

Nice catch! By you and Okemo... All fixed.

I did a "whois" on KillingtonDealGrabbber.com a couple of days ago. It's an anonymous domain name register service on Grand Cayman. I'd love to know who was quick enough to notice the typo, savvy enough to know how to get an anonymous domain, and with enough of a sense of humor to point it at the Okemo site.
