According to Kinetic, the Minneapolis-based manufacturer has received multiple requests for rollers throughout the years, but was loathe to take the plunge until it could "do something different." Well, different is here, courtesy of the extremely portable and storable Kinetic Z Rollers.
Different looks like one-third the length of traditional rollers, as the Z Rollers fold on two hinges to stack like a deflated Z into a space that's smaller than most foldable trainers would need. This means the rollers fit under a bed, in a closet, or in your car for easy transportation to the pre-race staging area.
The rollers feature lightweight aluminum drums and the forever-running smoothness of steel bearings. The bearings are quiet enough that you can use them to warm-up before a race without drawing the ire of everyone in the vicinity.
