LAST YEAR ON THIS DATE...THE FIRST WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL EVENT ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND WAS UNDERWAY. THE REGION RECEIVED ANYWHERE FROM LESS THAN 2.0 INCHES (ACROSS WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS AND NORTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT) TO BETWEEN 4.0 AND 8.0 INCHES OF SNOW (ACROSS EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS AND NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND). FOR MORE INFORMATION...PLEASE VISIT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE ADDRESS (ALL IN LOWER CASE): HTTP://WWW.ERH.NOAA.GOV/BOX/SNOW- INFO2.SHTML

To add to that, Killington, Okemo, Sunday River, Woodbury, and Bretton Woods were all open and Jiminy Peak would open the next day.

Yeah...just make us wanna go cry ourselves to sleep. Okay so i dunno what the big problem is. Atleast for me this has definetly been the best early season I've ever had. But I've had to work for every single turn. Season started October 26th and i've skiied every saturday since then. Sometimes you just gotta work to find the snow.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad. Trust me, on Thanksgiving when we're socked in by the storm, I'll post a "last year on this date" which will say "On this day, it reached 70 degrees in much of southern NE and temps stayed way above average until mid-January."

It was nice seeing half a foot of snow on the ground in early November, but it'll be nicer with a foot on the ground on Thanksgiving.

I skied the whiteface highway on 10/26, big tupper on 10/29, the whiteface highway again on 11/5 (biked 2.5 miles up the road before I hit snow and started skiing), 11/12 skiied the snowmaking on excelsior which had basically solid coverage from the top of little whiteface to the midlodge. So like I said I've had to work for it but it was there.
