Some good skiing today! Dew Tour is wrapping up; lots of cool stuff in the village @ Carinthia. Saw Dr Jeff ysterday and today; Met Mommabear yesterday.

A bit scratchy in spots today, but the snow is fast. Hit Mineshaft and the Euler Memorial halfpipe.

Great day so far..not really crowded...ppl must be getting ready for the game.

Ill post some pics tomorrow.

Yup, a good day and a good weekend!

Saturday - 1st tracks program, me and my daughter rode the chair with Glenn + Mrs. Glenn and had MommaBear and some of her "cubs" ;) right behind us (Mommabear was a bit suprised to see the optical illusion of height that my ski boots create for me  )

Just an AWESOME packed powder day on Saturday! Bright blue sky, little/no wind, and temps warming into the mid 20's, plus all of the Dew Tour events going on, and even a Vcunning + Vcunning's brother siting in the Carinthia base area too. My wife and I ended up spending a good chunk of the afternoon parked at the midstation bar watching the Dew Tour on TV and doing some "quality control" of the beverages :)

Sunday. Another Bluebird day, but COLD! Saw Glenn + Mrs. Glenn layering up in the base lodge just before 1st chair. Temps in the single digits and the wind blowing in the 15 to maybe 25mph range had it feeling cold out there. Snow was still good, although the wind exposed places were getting blown down to the hardpack below, but lots of places in the lee of the wind had some nice soft stuff blown in. Quit around noon since my fingers decided that they were done attempting to thaw today

Lets just hope that the potential storm Wednesday hits, because while the manmade trails are in great shape, the naturals need help!

FYI, for the ski area equipment geeks, it's getting fun right now at Mount Snow, as the NSAA East Ski Show (think Eastern region industry trade show) is here this coming week, and there's quite a few nice, shiny, new "toys" around the mountain right now (I'll see if I can upload a few pics later of a couple of sharp looking Silver Prinoth Beast groomers that are here now :) )

We enjoyed Fresh Tracks on Saturday - not an easy task for this family of 5 (including 2 teenagers) at 7:30am. Yes, Mr Momma Bear was with us...he was just at the end of the line as we were loading the lift due to being the driver and needing to boot up first. Pleasant surprise to recognize the "hat" ahead of me from his photos posted here as Glen . Nice to finally meet you, your wife and Dr. Jeff (and little miss Jeff) in person.

Not usually a cordury person, I truly enjoyed the early morning runs on the fresh stuff - being at the back of the pack because I stopped to take a picture, I had the wide open slope of Ridge almost to myself. Beautiful way to start the day. Highly recommend it to any Mount Snow season pass holders that haven't yet taken advantage of it.

Definitely a cold weekend. Had I known sooner that the tents at the Dew Tour Village were heated, I would have probably spent more time poking around in them! Lots of cool give aways; kids were happy.

Also enjoyed the seeded bumps on Roller Coaster. Troughs were getting deep but with the lower pitch, it was still a great place to practice without worrying about the "pros" running me over or getting in their way. And I love that I can lap it using the Canyon chair. Great setup Mount Snow!

Here's a shot of those nice seeded lines on Rollercoaster taken from my back deck Sunday about 3PM with the 200mm lense "fully stretched" :)

Jeff...had you taken that shot an hour earlier, you may have gotten me!

MommaBear, great to finally meet you! My wife I were really impressed you're able to get everyone out of the house and to first tracks. We sometimes have enough trouble with just the two of us! Outstanding work on your part!

It was cold this weekend! However, my wife ended up with new ski coat on Saturday afternoon. Jeff texted me that he and his wfie were at the Midstation...while Melissa and I were up @ Rawsonville at Equipe...scoping out coats. Another miss by about an hour! But her new coat fits better and she was a lot warmer yesterday.

Love those bumps on Rollercoaster! Skied those top to bottom and boy, did I feel it! They are fun though!

I gotta pull the pics and upload them. I forgot the camera in CT...but I used the blackberry as a backup. It wouldn't be Monday/Tuesday on AZ without a lot of random "my weekend @ Mt Snow" pics from Glenn.
