Lodging at Sunday River

Heading up to Sunday River for the first time the 1st weeknd of January (Son has 1st college race) and have never been. Can anyone recommend any nice places to stay that wont break the bank.

Stayed at the Sudbury Inn in downtown Bethel. Nice place and the food was great. The rates were fairly reasonable as well. ($99 which included breakfast) http://www.sudburyinn.com/ The owner is a cool guy too who chatted about skiing with me for 30 minutes.

Cheapest is 25 min away in Gorham Nh. $ 48 per night Nothing fancy gorham motor inn. basic motel old school.

A few places in rumford as well. chapman inn and Norseman are the cheapest in Bethel. On mountain you can get some nice deals last minute. My complex fall line rents on its own and not through the Mountain. Ski on ski off. Slopeside rentals handals them.

On mountain through the resort comes with the lift ticket perk. Hard to beat that if you need tickets. Pm if you want more specifics.

Been a few years since I stayed there, but check the Chapman Inn in Bethel. Really cheap option there is a dorm room, otherwise they have a variety of inn rooms. Good breakfast as I recall too.

The Rostay, which stands for Really Outstanding Stay (seriously), is a decent deal which includes a lift ticket I think. It isn't posh but is within walking distance of a couple of pubs.
