Hello,
This is my first post so please bare with me. I've been downhill skiing for about 20 years. I consider myself a intermediate skier who is trying to move on to the next level. I ski mostly blue trails and have some black trails i like to ski as well. However, the black trails I do occasionally ski, usually are covered in hard crusty ice making it somewhat difficult for me to navigate( not very smooth or fluid in my form). I ski @smugglers notch in Jeffersonville VT. I think part of the problem is my equipment. Here is what I'm skiing on. After you all are done laughing, maybe someone can make a recommendation. I have been reading about K2 AMP Charger, Rossi 88, Elan Apex.
Salomon MLX 192 skis
Salomon Driver 877 Bindings(ski shops won't adjust them anymore)
Age=57
Height=5'9"
Weight= 185lbs
I like narrow trails, and some bumbs, but my skis are a little too long. Also, on wider trails, where the snow has been skied off, I tend to ski on the side near the tree line making short quick turns. Thanks for any comments
