Resort or Ski Area:
Loon Mountain, NH
Conditions:
Fast, thin cover, some MMP, great mornings, scratchy mid-days, scraped off afternoons..
Trip Report:

I was planning to head to Cannon on saturday to avoid Loons usual crowds, prices, and lack of excitement... Friends ski'd Loon on the 2nd, and said it was an icy mess by the afternoon... I had a feeling Cannon with its wind exposure may be even worse off...
Got out around 8:15, made a few quick runs around West lower mtn, and headed over to north peak around 9... Trails were fast and fun, edgeable, but more hard icy snow... on a well covered but hard-pack boiler plate base.... A bit of flurries and ski'd up PP made for a pretty fast but fun day... Not as crowded as expected, lots of terrain(90%?) was open (did the 6 trails at Ragged a few times each day before), hit most of my favorites off north peak quad.. called it quits before 11 and got a voucher to come back another day, bloody mary time.... got back to the condo, and find out my younger sis is coming up north to ski... grabbed a few lift tickets off some friends jackets that called it quits for the day, and headed back to the mtn to hit up the bunny slopes with a first timer...
Lower walking boss or FlyingFox to Crosscut were probably the best of the day....

Wasn't a blackout day for me, so headed back to Loon.. got a start around 9 and again warmed up on the beginner lift with my sister until sending her off to a group lesson at 9:45, then again headed off to do all my favorites with gf and brother... We again enjoyed runs mostly off north peak, before working our way back to Kanc/Governors for lunch... Mtn was pretty dead, I was pretty surprised at the lack of lines, but no complaints here... Lower picked rock was amazing, giving credit totally to the new snow guns (cannons) that they had lined up down the whole lower trail... Headed back up after lunch, and lil sis tweaked her knee (ski didn't pop off) on lower bear claw before we called it a day....
GPS track
A fast weekend overall, I tele'd 3 days in a row for the first time and although miss my snowboard, miss some deep fresh snow more... looking at the forecast, telling boss I'll be out friday, and drooling....
