Saturday was by far the best snow i've skied this year. not sure if they got some natural or just resurfaced a crap load of trails but most skied really nice until about 1 or so. Crowds were big but not as bad as I had feared. They seeded lower rumrunner friday night so there was a second bump option, which became totally necessary after I took one run on lower flume bumps. Lines on flume are good but you better be ready to slide and slam. Kids loved upper -> lower speakeasy then the bumps on rumrunner.
I went back sunday afternoon by myself. Lines on rumrunner had been skied in rather well by then. Sunset had good snow but basically the rest of the place was a skating rink. Tried the bumps on lower flume again out of sheer stupidity. still sucked.
Lots of people taking their skis off and walking down. By 3 or so, i had given up on anything and was riding the little kissin cousin double which drops you right at the top of lower rumrunner. Honestly, it was the only thing worth skiing at that point but I felt kinda ridiculous in the beginner area with those loud pants on.
