Apparently there was a presentation last night. Maybe this has been batted around here, but I don’t recall seeing anything lately….

If the USFS allows it, the big expansion along the ridge South is a no brainer. Clearly the demand is there.

I think Waterville's expansion on Green is a no brainer as well. How many Boston metro skiers travel significantly further to VT often because our NH areas don't stack up in size?

Just got back from our annual weekend at Loon. It was a "zoomer groomer" weekend after the rains with the woods and East Basin trails that I love all out of play. Still we had a great time. It was supposedly "sold out" both days however the lines weren't too bad. We were there for opening both days and took advantage of those nice long cruisers off the Gondola. Saturday was the busier day things really got skied off by one ish. , Sunday was kind of a gift with the clock change, we got 6 straight T2B Gondola's before it became anything but walk on. We also took several more runs off Loon Peak via Seven Brothers/East Basin chair (a lot quicker then it used to be) and we did several over on the Kanc 8.

All for the expansion. I love that area of New Hampshire. Vermont gets more snow (true this year especially) and is very pretty but the views in the Whites are much better. Stopped at a sunny corner on one of my last runs and took it all in for like ten minutes. Enjoy the Lincoln area with a place to stay that we really like and the places to eat and apres in close proximity. Went nuts on the seafood which is something I know we are going to miss when we are out in Colorado. Got to Woodstock Inn Friday which had a really good "Maine Chowder", saw a band for a while, didn't catch the name but they did this cool kind of funked up version of Me and Julio down by the School yard. Made me see that song in a whole new light and was kind of cool.

We are gradually moving west for winters in retirement, however, we are doing it at a slow pace (haven't retired yet) so we will be in the east part of the time. Next year we are going to attempt (winter/snow conditions willing) and ski the original Ski 93 (Tenney, Waterville, Loon, Cannon and Mittersill). With my Indy Pass and Ikon we've got tickets to all of them and its always been something I wanted to do.
