Mad River Glen
Conditions - packed powder
Temperature - mid 30's base, mid 20's summit
Sky - cloudy up top, above the single chair mid-station
Arrived at the Glen around 11:00 and immediately met some random dude who hooked me with a daily ticket for $20. This is my luck - I seem to be incredibly lucky for some reason.
I haven't been to MRG in years so I took the double and did some runs like Quacky and a few others. Good snow, good bumps. There are some icy spots and rocks and what not, but you expect this at MRG.
Hit the double where I stayed all day. It was great, good bumps on Chute, Liftline, Beaver, Antelope and Catamount. They are firm, but carvable, and make for good technical skiing.
I think the weekend will be pretty good. Thin in some areas so scope it out first before you turn it up and go fast.
That's about it - enjoy!
