NEWRY, Maine -– Not only is substantially colder weather slated to arrive during the first week of December, but an important date for snow hungry kids and college students will be arriving as well. Tuesday, Dec. 5th is a pricing deadline for both Maine Student Season Passes valid at Sunday River and Sugarloaf/USA and American Skiing Company All-East College Season Passes.
"We've already had our first Rail Jam and the No Bib Jib Series is about to kick off for the year," said Nick Roma, Sunday River Terrain Parks Manager. "One of our Maine Student or College Passes is a great way to hit up the east's best parks and pipes. Since our snowmaking system is so gravy, we'll be able to get even more parks open by Christmas, plus tons of our cruising terrain."
The $340 Maine Student Pass for kids 6-12 years of age increases to $699 after Dec. 5 with similar increases to other age groups. The All-East College Pass increases $100 after Dec. 5. More information and pricing is available at http://www.sundayriver.com/seasonpass.html.
Sunday River is currently open for top-to-bottom skiing and riding on 7 trails via two lifts and is also offering a mini terrain park. Current forecasts indicate that much colder weather is on the way for the first part of December, which will allow for expanded snowmaking operations.
Dec. 5 is also a savings deadline for two popular ticket options. Both the mEticket and New England Value Card will be moving past their early season pricing tiers on Dec. 5. More information on current conditions, events and early ski and stay packages from $55 per person per night are available at www.sundayriver.com.
