Nowhere now, but everywhere
I missed this weekend, purposely.

Wondering who‘s the most famous person / people you have seen skiing?
We saw Matt Dillon having a coked out melt down at the Jackson Hole airport, trying to cut the line onto the airplane In front of us. Also heli skied with Billy Squire in Portillo. Got invited by JT Holmes and his buddy Pukey to head to Argentina on the same trip. Didn’t do it though, good thing, they were hog tied and brought to the border for crashing some Arabian prince’s party at Tio Bob’s that night. Missed John Travolta at Mascara Mountain when he was there, even though we were and the Lynx wanted that sighting!

Hard to see famous people skiing. Can’t think of anyone else other than John Eagan.
How about you?

Julianne Moore, Jackson Hole. Not actively skiing, but at the base in ski clothes and boots

A number of pro skiers who aren’t truly famous

In 2013, I rode the chair at Whistler with Justin Wilcox, current football coach at Cal.

Was the DC for Sark at University of Washington at the time.

In 2012 I was riding up Baldy Express with an older woman. We got to talking and she told me that she had been skiing there since it opened. I mentioned it must have changed a lot. She reminisced and I soon realized that I was riding up with Ted Johnson's ex-wife, Wilma. As in "Wilbere" of Snowbird. Ted founded Snowbird.

Had a ski house at Mad River View Rd in 90's Saw a very wrinkled lady, old flannel clothing,
Three behind me at single chair. Maybe wooden poles-I dunno. Thought nothing of it- blue bird day after deep snowfall. Mid Feb Wednesday.
Halfway down Liftline she says 'nice turns you make.'
Frig- was Betsy.

Best one of all.

I met Montel Williams skiing in Tahoe. Rode a lift with Glen Plake at K years ago. And just yesterday, met Indy Pass owner Erik Mogenson at Black Mountain. Erik is nuts, in a great way. He kept the mid mountain lodge open late, and than groomed a path down for the patrons to ski down for a sunset run. I guess they do that on Saturday's.

Seen Jennifer Lawrence, Bert Kreischer, Anderson Paak, John Malkovich and Bad Bunny here in Park City. Only the first two were actually on the mountain others were in town. Probably been others and I didn’t even realize. I know Justin Beiber owns a house in the Colony

Bill Murray used to visit Stowe in the 1990s. You'd hear about it in town and that his lift line banter was pretty hilarious, but I never personally saw him.

My buddy taught Steve Buscemi's two kids for 5 days in 1999 at Stowe. All day lessons, two kids. Steve didn't tip him!

So, personally I've never seen a celebrity while skiing, but have bartended or waited on many in my life.

Michael & Kirk Douglas at Aspen on the gondola. Two cool cats.

Was behind Cindy Crawford in her spandex in a liftline at Snowmass. Her daughter Kaia was unhappy to be stuck with the masses.

Kingslug ... at Stowe!

My daughter was in ski school with one of Ed Burns' and Christy Turlington's kids at Deer Valley. Also at Deer Valley not too long ago I said hi to Conan O'Brien and Stephen Colbert talking at the top of Flagstaff. Feb to Mar I feel like Park City area is a gold mine for those sort of things. Even if it's not direct contact, you're bound to see famous people.

Skiing Mount Washington Valley doesn't net you too many of these encounters lol. I don't think I've ever bumped into anyone aside from local bigshots like Les Otten and Herbert Schneider.

Other than the money and the women, I can't see one benefit to being famous. I like being known and knowing others in my neighborhood and greater local community, but otherwise cherish my anonymity.

If I pursued and was successful in achieving the path of fame, I'd likely only ski at places like the Yellowstone Club or Cat/Heli operations. Or maybe Europe if I wasn't internationally famous.

Funny, I once rode chair at Mount Snow with somebody that looked and sounded like Lou Reed. I didn't ask. Never pictured him as a skier, but who knows.

Met John Egan in the top patrol shack at Big Sky waiting to drop Big Couloir. Pretty cool.
Met tons of celebrities in my job over the years, but only met Egan skiing. Have seen Glen Plane at SR in the past but didn't have a chance to meet him.
