Anyone have any tips on mattress buying?

I've been sleeping on a cheapo Amazon foam mattress for like 7 years and now that I'm 40 I'm starting to feel it in my back , etc. Looking for something new and maybe willing to invest a little more in a good night's sleep. I feel like I'm being a huge putz for complaining about my mattress but I guess this is where I am in life now haha.

We've been checking out a dreamcloud, nectar, casper, tuft & needle, saatva mattresses. Some of them have really long trial periods (like a year) so I'm debating going with that.

Also, I'm interested in an adjustable bedframe. Wife & I like to catch a movie in bed and stuffing pillows behind us getting annoying. LOL.

Up next: recommendations for a walker 😂

We bought a stiff mattress about ten years ago that has a 25 year warranty. It did wonders for my back. No problems any longer. When ever we go on vacation somewhere, we are excited to be back in our own bed. It is a Cal King and is still like it was ten years ago. It was not cheap but it was worth it!

We got a Helix hybrid a few months ago- love it. Very comfy, and it isolates movement very well, without feeling like you're sleeping inside The Blob.
