Lots of sites build content on the fly. I'll bet they are negotiating dates as we speak.

I don't think there is much park coverage at all in the film. Take a look at the 9 teasers that were issued this summer.

The teasers did not have much of the jib/park/urban stuff excepting the DC stuff (which actually looked cool) but the trailer seemed to contain their typical 2/5 - 1/2 jib/park/urban selection. And who can blame that business model considering their target audience? Look at their tour schedule when it is fully released. Probably more than half of their dates are college shows. The urban stuff plays really well with the younger ski demographic. I am not much of a fan. Meatheads know what they are doing. For folks that want to watch pow shot after pow shot, movies like that are a dime a dozen. Sadly, that means for those of us wanting 1 hour of east coast skiing and riding without jib/park/urban, we are not a majority.

All that said, I am still looking forward to that DC segment. We'll see how it plays this year. They still have yet to do better than Born From Ice, IMO.

When I mentioned to my 15 y.o. son someone felt there was too much park and urban stuff in the movie, his reply? "There's NEVER too much park and urban stuff!"

If it snows as much here this year as it did last season, we can hold an AZ summit here and earn turns across da street from my house (75' vert :)) ! :flag:

Meanwhile, it was 99 degrees here yesterday...

But this morning it was 60 and overnight the leaves are fading to yellow & starting to fall...

No sleep til K'town

Peace

+ 1.

I also agree with Riverc0il's comments, re: Born From Ice being the best yet. The other films are funny, but I can only watch a guy ride a rail so many times before I get bored.

Isn't the premier in Burlington on the 1st? How are you guys getting it on the same day?

Yes, the premier is in BTV on Friday Night and me and the Mrs. are going. Another reason why I love my wife...she loves skiing. ;)

Where do they get the snow from? A local ice arena?

We call them "ice rinks" or "skating rinks" in these parts.

An ice rink is a frozen body of water where people can skate or play winter sports. Some of its uses include playing ice hockey, figure skating exhibitions and contests, and ice shows. There are two types of rinks in prevalent use today, natural, where freezing occurs due to cold temperatures and artificial or mechanically-frozen where a coolant produces cold in the surface below the water of the rink, causing it to freeze. In lesser use is synthetic ice where skating surfaces are made out of plastics.
