Time to take a break from revealing secret stashes.

So what ski areas in the North East or Mid Atlantic are the most Bognerific? Bognerific = fashionista on skis/ snowboard, ultra fashionable ski wear: embroidery, fur trim, color coordination, hair, make up and style. Bogner is a high end brand of ski wear with fur and embroidery that appeals to some on the slopes. Stratton or Stowe have had some memorable Bognerific moments on sunny days and decent snow.

I tried making a post like this a while back, not much success though.

Not northeast but aspen is probably the most bogner I've seen in one place.

I will say though, a lot of the bogner skiers were pretty good, not gapers like they are made out to be. I spoke with one of these bognerites on a lift who told me he'd only been skiing for 4 years, but he skied 3 weeks a year including a week worth of private lessons at aspen each year . I asked what he did which he told me he was an anesthesiologist.

No self-respecting bogner thread would be complete without a mention of Vail. Unlike Aspen though, a lot of bogner wearers CAN'T ski.

Stratton has the bogner shop in the village, but they also have several other shops that stock it extensively.

Some of the modern stuff is pretty nice, especially the womens gear. Not any more over the top expensive than Kjus; jackets in the $1k-$2k range, $400-$1k pants, etc. The Basin ski shop stocks it at Killington, there are a few capable female skiers at Killington that wear it, but no guys really.

There are clearly stereotypes about bogner wearing skiers (or Kjus, etc)..........most of them I know are pretty down to earth, but they are making (or have) very good money, like $300k yearly and (way) up. If you can drop $3k on a ski outfit, disposable income is clearly not an issue.

Lots of Bogner around the Jay area due to the factory being in Newport. However, since the factory closed, the amount of fancy pants has slowly dwindled.
Although there are a fair number of Canadians that are upholding the baseline.

My ex-wife used to work there and she would get deep discounts on clothing! In fact, many NEK people used to shop in the factory outlet store in Newport. So at one time I too wore Bogner, only because I got it for a lot less and more than likely had a defect. So at one time there was a lot of Bogner clothing at Jay!

For those who straight out buy that stuff i would agree with Stratton and Stowe - I bet Killington has their share!

$1700 for a jacket?

Not defects but last year or older models.

Oh there were defects - I could not see them but the employees at the factory spotted them right away. Something as simple as the stitching not being exactly straight! You are right, there was older model year stuff too!
