Conditions: Spring Like

I met Reefer today in the base lodge. He's a good guy! Wasn't able to catch him out on the slope...hopefully, next time.

We were out on the slope around 9AM. Line for the BlueBird was a bit long. Of course, just as we get in line, the Summit Express starts going. D'oh! The first few runs were good. The snow was soft, but not too soft. You could still carry some speed. We did a bunch of runs on the main face. We then scooted over to the Notth Face. I took Fallen Timbers which was all natural bumps. It skied really well. Run of the day for me.

We did a few runs on Snowdance which skied well...but was getting a bit soft. We took the Canyon lift a few times. Ski school asked us to take up some younger kids. That was fun. It's a little stressful though. I was nervous because the little kids' skis don't even touch the footrest. They were all good kids though...make for some fun rides up.

The snowmakers did a really good job over the week. The trail count had increased quite a bit. I felt bad that it was so warm today and some spots were getting thin.

Tomorrow should be pretty busy; youth pay their age day.

Over and out...I've got a PBR Tallboy to finish.

Sweet Day

Good to meet you Glenn. Definitely have to take a couple runs next time.
Great day on the hill today. Scorecard was Fallen Timbers (14), Ridge (1), Snowdance (1) Canyon (1).
Some pretty good bumps on FT, all DoublEject and I needed. Should be pretty nice tomorrow. Ran both North Face lifts so never waited in a lift line over there. Started getting pretty crowded on snow having only three trails to choose from on TNF. Did a few more through the obstacle course and headed down Ridge for an early lunch. Had lunch and a couple Long Trails in a mellow Station Tap Room then went back out and skied FT til’ just before 3:00.
If you want to bump, Fallen Timbers is delivering. Whole hill (what's open) is skiing nice.

Somerset almost frozen

Top to bottom bumps on Fallen Timbers

No snow in them there hills...........

No wonder there's so many riders here, they're growing the boards on trees............

LOL! That tree always has boards in it.

The erlier AM was nice when the sun was out. It got a little flat after that.

I cant get over the lack of snow in the area surrounding the mountain. Thank God for snowmaking.

The sunrise was amazing that day. We took advantage of the passholder early entry (7:30 am) to the Bluebird Express. My 5-year old even stopped on our way down to mention the cool sunrise coming up over untouched corduroy.

And it was so warm that Cuzzin's outdoor patio was open and packed with people.

Watching the sunrise from the mountain is amazing. Did you happen to get a pic? Although, with AM Express, it's usually get in as many runs as possible before the lift opens to the masses.
