Resort: Mount Snow

Conditions: Temps in the low/mid 30's, mainly overcast, machine groomed man-made

Report:

Pulled into my place about 10PM Wednesday, just the occassional sound of a cat in the distance as the temps were hovering around 32. Since I left on Sunday, Snowdance, River Run, Mineshaft and Inferno have opened up :) The snow surface was nice machine groomed packed powder, and everything had been groomed out after the mid week white/wet/freeze event. A few slicker spots started showing up after lunch, but in general given the decent volume of folks on the hill, the conditions were holding up great!

Didn't bother taking any pics today as generally speaking the light was flat enough to make the pics look like nothing more than a flat white slope, and while I love fan gun pics, this time of year they're better looking with snow coming out of them than sitting idle ;)

Tommorrow should be another good one. Then fireworks + torchlight parade @ 5:30 tommorrow night :)

I was up there as well. I got there nice and early and had a nice close spot at Carinthia. Things started filling in around 10:30 but never waited langer than a couple minutes in lift lines. The snow was good but a little harder than the previous weekend which was to be expected after the previous weeks rain. They groomed Chute on the north face, so it was hard and fast. The run of the day for me was Mineshaft -> Inferno which I lapped many times.

I am not a big fan of the conveyer belt they have on the Summit Express. I don't think they have it timed right yet because it puts you on the back of the skis of people in from of you. The people I went up with felt the same ways.

Totally missed this TR Jeff. But given how I saw you...but didn't know it was you on the 28th, I guess that can be expected! :p
