Resort: Mount Freeze (aka. Mount Snow)
Conditions: COLD and windy! Brrr!
Report: What a cold day out on the mountain! I arrived up on the mountain around 8:30, in time for the 9:00 AM lift opening. Already there were people complaining in line thinking that Snow opens up earlier on the weekends during pre-season (which isn't the case). They were bitching out the poor kid managing the line and yet these were the same clueless folks who couldn't figure out how to line up six - to get on the 6-pack. Needless to say I had a bluebird ride up with 2 other people (which made out day!) . It was blowing really hard all day, and wicked cold. Yet, at the same time it skied really well for the first part of the day. As time went on trails were getting skied off (Long John and Ridge). Ended up taking 7 runs, with the crowds, lines and etc. Hit northface - with the lift making weird noises (only skied Free Fall once because of it).
All in all a good day out on the mountain though and some pics below:
Guns firing away on Lodge:
Looking down Free Fall, half way down, with some small whales still on it:
Cascade:
Waffle time!
