Hey folks, I know there have been people going up to Tuck's as of late and I'm curious as to where the best cover is on the east side of the mountain right now. I've read the daily reports about fissures and avy danger, but they don't exactly tell you what routes have the best cover. That being said, has anyone skied Gulf of Slides or Hillman's Hwy this past weekend. I'd like to know if either or both have better snow than the bowl.
Thanks a bunch!

Jerry

Those shot of the the main gully in GOS look awfully nice. Thank you very much, folks. GOS/Hillman's... tough decision!

Just got back..
GOS is good - hike from Hillmans is a schlep to climb down now...
Hillmans is great! No sounds of water running underneath... Both sides at the top are doable... skiers right has a pinch...
Lower snowfields are great! nice flat snow.. Duck in at top of "XMas tree" off Hillman...
Headwall is trashed from the Center Gully to RGully... Rangers keeping everyone off the lip.
Chute is nice.. Some runnels.. Big crack at the top...
LGully is great if you enjoy moguls...
