pretty good considering the holiday. got to south peak at 8:45, skied south and bear peak till 10:15 am. standard packed powder, little ice, little crowd. took the southern sojourn lift over to granite peak. devils bit and pipeline closed! there is always some way this mountain can piss me off. both looked fine, the site said delayed opening when i got home. i just don't know. the rest of vernon peak was fine, the gondola was only a 2 min wait at 11:00 am. great northern and all the lower extremities were fine. most of vernon was surprisingly ok. packed powder conditions, not much ice. went back to south and did 6 more runs. still not much crowd by 12 noon. 2 min wait. did a couple more and got out of there by 12:45. crowd building but not too bad. a rating of 7.5 for a 4 hour jaunt. to bad devils bit and pipeline were closed.

skied mtn. creek on wed 2/18..the mountain was in decent shape, some ice on vernon side but the snow was pretty good over at south peak...no crowd to speak of til after school got out..skied fast hard packed conditions at vernon til lunchtime, headed over to south peak skied there til 4:30..some lite snow coming down all afternoon..never more than 2 min for a chair up. It looked like the snowmaking equipment was still hooked up on most trails, would they blow snow this late in the NJ season?? Overall it was a surprisingly good day given the weather the previous week!
