Dates Skied:3/14-3/15

Resort: Mt.Abram

Conditions: 3/14 really nice groomed conditions. Surprisingly fast skiing. Mainly Cord.
3/15 started out fast with cord, but slowly became slushy and snow.

Ski Report: I have been to Mt.Abram twice, and I must say that it does not dissapoint. The mountain is rarely ever crowded, and the staff are extremely friendly. The snow was very nice on both days, with minimal icy spots. My families favourite run overall was Lower Zephyr, because it was challenging for the skiers in my family, and my snowboarding son could bomb down it, and get satisfying speed. My son also like bombing down Lower Rockies. Overall Great time

I was there on 3-13. It was a last minute thing as I was actually driving to Bangor for a funeral, but left an extra day to clear my head. After repeatedly hearing Abram was the "hidden jewel of Maine" and severely not wanting a crowd or anything touristy, I stayed overnight in Gorham NH, having made it from Rochester NY in about 8 hours. I hit the hill being the second person on the lift a bit early at 8:55am.

Awesome awesome place. Their lift is fairly quick being a double even though fixed grip. The staff was WAY courteous. Their grooming is decent. Their facilities are just what anyone would need.

The day was the same as you said - pretty quick conditions. Very hard packed frozen corduroy in the morning that softened a bit in the sun as the morning wore on. I just can't say enough good things about this place if you wanna get away from the mega resort style. The only complaint I could ever have is not finding Rocky's Run to Lowers Rocky's Run, alternating with Snidleys Whiplash, until 10:30am (which I basically stayed on until 2pm when I left).

Awesome. Glad you guys had fun at Mt. Abram. We had one of our best days of the year there during a snow storm. Rocky Runs and Snidleys Whiplash were mega good in the powder. Great low key ski hill, great vibe and very good terrain.

Yeah, gotta love places like that, haven't been there in a while. We've been hitting the smaller places these days and been liking it a lot more than the mega resorts.
