Saturday was unreal. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and no wind! It was an amazing day.

I took a zip down Ripcord. The trail was in good shape! There was a bit of scratch around the bumps, but overall, it skied really well. You can see my wife at the bottom in one of these pics....I think... I haven't skied that trail for some time. It's got a heck of a pitch and looking down it is pretty cool.

We capped the day off by visiting vcunning, his wife and boys. DrJeff and his son were there as well. All we talked about was how nice of a day it was.

Sunday started off very similar to Saturday...with some clouds in the distance. By noonish, the clouds had rolled in and hung out from about mid mountain up.

My wife has been ducking into the woods lately and zipping down some shorter woods trails. She managed to get her pole jammed between two trees. I told her she's now really a skier because she's started breaking equipment! A few people LOL'd at the pole in line. A random few made it a point to tell her the pole was bent. No s___ Sherlock? After skiing, I hung the pole on our downstairs wall in VT...next to my old skis. The wall of fame.

Here's a new covered bridge there building in Newfane. They've been working on this for a few months now. They're building the bridge literally on the road. They'll then remove the old bridge and put this new one in place. it's been really cool to see it progress week by week. This is on the backroad we take between Dummerston and Mt. Snow.

Nice photos. It was great to see you Saturday night. I'm still laughing at the wallpapering incident.

I'll have to get a pic of her pole on the wall! Looks like we'll be heading to the ski shop at Mt. Snow to replace those. She may have to use my old purple AKA Grimmace poles Saturday if we make Firt Tracks.

V...totally agreed! What a fun way to spend an evening after a solid day on the slopes!

Nice report. I was at Mt. Snow on Friday & we had a similar experience to yours on Sat. Great weather, sunny skies, very little wind & excellent snow conditions. Had a great time.

I also hit Ripcord on Friday & was impressed. It was the first time I had ever skied it & I enjoyed it. It always seems to be closed whenever I'm at Snow. Great run.

Jeff,
I heard Friday was an awesome day! I bet the non weekend crowds were a nice bonus. I'm glad we were both able to hit Ripcord last week...it'll probably be awhile before it's in good shape again. Good timing on our part!

Root...HA! Glad you liked that! She was laughing pretty hard when it happened.

Glenn:

Seeing your pictures then Eulers report and pictures from the 27th really tells a tale. I'm still on the train that we are due for a good second half of the winter but that rain was definately a body blow. I know I'm glad I was out last weekendand will store that memory in the bank till mother nature cooperates again.

I hear ya Alex. But I've been pleasantly surprised by what the mountain ops crew up there can do with enough water and cold temps. Hail the fan guns!

We'll be up there again this weekend. It looks like it'll be cold, but I'll definitely take some pics.
