Thank you! Did that gondola move faster than the doubles? I see that it had an open bottom, could you get a snowboard on that? Does anyone here own one of those old cabins?
Much faster than the Summit Triple. Probably could get a snowboard on it, never thought of that before ir recall seeing one on them. Can't remember if snowboarding was allowed before the gondola accident that finished it off.

By the time I was old enough the Yankee Clipper was in.

The Standard and Canyon doubles did move right along though. The Summit Triple was always a snail. I loved the portal towers on the Standard.

Oh it ran much faster than those doubles also. Wasn't sure if he was talking about the chain drives or the regular doubles, so I compared to the triple. Anyway, I think it ran around 800 feet per min.

Got an hour and a half in in the rain this morning for closing day. When I hit the hill just after 9, the liftie who scanned me told me I was only 1 of 2 people currently on the hill (maybe there were 10 of us when I quit about 10:30)

Snow was actually skiing very well with a nice wet machine groomed surface, generally good coverage over 95% of the open acreage.

Felt like a closing day. That might be a wrap on my season too as I have things the next 3 weekends that would prevent me from getting some Superstar laps...20230423_090849.jpg
