Saturday afternoon after pond skim with the reggae band on that big stage was awesome.

Probably the biggest crowds for pond skim that I have seen in my 5yrs as the starter for Pond Skim (multiple people deep along the entire 250 yard or so course on skiers right and probably 50yards of folks by the pond on skiers left!)

And as much as the reggae bands were great, probably the best live music of the weekend at Mount Snow was the Erica Reyonolds Band in the Station Taproom Sunday afternoon...

If you know about the quality of the Sunday afternoon bands in the Taproom all season long, you know!!!

I think it's typical that Vail would put forward their best apres scene on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday, for most all weekends, they have Bruce Jacques a total tool bag as you can see on his own website - https://brucejacques.com/ and this douche bag has an exclusive where no other live music can be played at MT proper while he is playing. Even if you wanted to see this asshole, you need a reservation thru Vail - you need to make said reservation staring at 8:30am on the sunday BEFORE he plays the next Sat - reservations sell out within minutes. - And it is always the same milf women who lock up the reservations, causing the cuck men to complain that they can't get in. I am happy to report I have never seen this untalented shit nor have I ever tried. He is no Jim Plunkett

Yeah - station tap has good a good sunday vibe - just like the bull wheel does in the summer on sundays - been both often, But by sunday afternoon, I'm resetting to the work week. The apres scene here is the lamest in VT easily. They have a couple nice events, but they understaff them. I enjoyed the band yesterday - but everything else was a total shit show - as usual. Trash & recycling bins overflowing, huge lines to get a beer because they didn't staff up, no 1900 burger - same old bull shit.

We're the armpit of the VT properties. At least we're not in NH.

Why so much hate for the guy? Seems kinda odd. I haven't seen his show in 20 something years, so I'm not a fan. The personal shots at him, what's that all about?
A past issue a long time ago, not here at MS. I should let it go.. but... I should have just said, and ended it there, that I don't understand why he is the only on MT apres option on nearly every Saturday of the season. If Sundays are so great, give him every Sunday of the season with no other options.

I'm sure he'll be back next year. I'll withhold further comment going forward.

He makes the mtn and the staff at Cuzzins a bunch of $$ with his shows. Heck, he packs the crowd in at Snow Republic Brewery when he plays once or twice a month on average during the season, typically on Friday nights before his Saturday shows.

Sunday the bands that play the Taproom tend to draw the proper sized crowd for the space available in the Taproom

I get it - it's a guaranteed crowd every Saturday - similar to selling epic passes - you know what's coming in before the guy plays a cord - totally Vail. Meanwhile, if they had to pivot and set up a keg at the out side bar they built at Carinthia, that they have never used, they'd have no idea ahead of time of how much that would make them - so screw it, they would never do that. - even if it was the best day of the spring that happened to fall on a Saturday.

today was a "10" - a great spring day. cool for spring standards but today the full on sun was the softening agent, not the temp. It stayed in the mid 30's all day, but everything softened - except part of NF. Cool + sun made for a great surface - best spring day of the season with clear views
