Resort: Mount Sunapee

Conditions: Packed Powder, Wet Packed Snow, Spring Conditions

Report: Welcome to spring skiing at the end of December! Today, a bunch of us made it up to Sunapee for some fun in the warm weather. Talk about a full house! It seemed more like the end of the season, then x-mas break. People on the "beach" grilling, lots of kiddies and families, and just a very cool atmosphere even though again lift lines were long. Began the day riding the quad up to the summit lodge, to duck behind down into the sunbowl. Skied Wingding, Liftline, Kartwheel, and the cataract trails many times. also was able to hit skyway and the ledges. Sunrise glade was open, but extremely thin cover. Decided to stay on the regular trails. We alse hit lynx, Hasen Chase, Chipmunk, and the bonanaza trails. Also we hit the blast off trails too... All in all, today was a great day, and I also ended up getting a smithopitics helmet for next to nothing! Another great day on the snow!

Seemed like a good day to be out. Did you hit either of the bump runs?

Where did you pick up the helmet?

I ended up getting a Smithoptics Vantage helmet from my buddy. He didn't like that he couldn't get his goggles over the rim of the helmet. I ended up giving him $80 bucks for it... Now I have the same goggles as him, and well... a little bit of an adjustment, and wallah, the googles made it over the rim :)

As for the bump runs, I did try the one under the sunrise lift... It wasn't pretty though. One thing I want to try to master this season is ski the bumps. But before I head out next, I need to get rid of this flu I caught!

Not too off-topic, I guess, but is it pronounced SOOnapee or SUNapee? I always thought it was SOO, but the girl selling me my lift ticket said SUN.
