Trail: Mt. Van Hoevenberg Trail from South Meadow Road
Distance: 2.2 each way
conditions: dusting of snow on trail wet around beaver activity & also in some other spots, windy on top on open ledges
Special Equipment: waterproof boots, wind protection on top
Trip Report:After trying Street & Nye & with road conditions that were tricky on the way to the Loj, opted for something easier & maybe low enough to have a view. This was perfect, only the summits of Phelps & Porter, stayed out of the clouds while Table top was in & out & the top of Cascade & Pitch-off were cloud covered. Higher peaks completely covered could see lower portions of slides on Colden.
