Looks like I'm bringing the wife and daughter next Friday if the wx is good... I have been here once or twice but don't really remember the layout at all. (We tend to gravitate towards Ragged & Cannon.) I know there will be plenty of cruisers for the wife, but my daughter likes anything 3D best - bumps or cuts through trees on the side of the trail, that sort of thing. I'm usually up for most anything except steep bumps/trees. What areas/lifts on BW tend to have the more varied and interesting terrain? Any links to trip reports? Thanks!

Seriously, I'd gravitate more towards the Deception Bowl area...Sly Fox (if that is what I'm thinking of) has some pitch...that eastern (or as you look up left-most) section used to have some real nice pitch...kind of threw you into a ravine of sorts...the area I'm referring to is in between 'two miles home' and 'deception bowl.' Besides that, flat, flatter, and cruisy is BW.

The most interesting terrain at Bretton Woods is off of the two lifts at the extreme left and right at the resort. Both of these lifts are HSQ and have the steepest terrain ( relatively speaking)and best access to the glades. Bretton Woods now has decent glade skiing when the snow is soft.

Having been there this past Monday for the first time, I'd agree w Talisman that the steeper and gladed terrain is all on the far left or right. Lifts there are pretty quick too.
Some of the glades on the far right were even easy enough for me to putz around in and I usually go nowhere near that stuff. (bumps w trees)

I skied there yesterday (3/26) and we pleasantly surprised. There are nice trees to be found, especially on West Mountain and Rosebrook. Things were pretty firm in the morning in Rosebrook, I wish I had gotten back there at the end of the day.
Nothing especially steep, but a fine mountain with amazing views. Great place for the final telefest of the season.

You guys were right on as usual... skied on Friday 4/1, still a very good base. Rosebrook and West Mtn chairs provided some fun terrain! Amazingly BW did not groom *at all* Thursday nite (is this a first?)and it was the right call, we had a very skiable granular surface that didn't bump up much at all with the ultra-low turnout. Of course that didn't deter my daughter from finding what 3D was available... ow... but it's all good

I had to chuckle at those signs too last week. How where the mouguls on Agassiz? that was my son's first mogul run, and he loved it. Did you ski in the glades? Waumbek seemed to be the steepest and longest top to bottom trail at Bretton Woods, did you ski that run?

Agassiz was good, the bumps were mid-sized and fairly soft... didn't quite make it over to Waumbek, that was next when the dinner bell rang and we didn't get back over there. We did try the Black Forest glade over on Rosebrook side which was fun to poke around in. I used some of the flatter runs to work on my short fall-line turns. A fine time was had by all but it sure is hard to drive past Cannon...
