You can own Mount Whittier, NH for a cool $3.2 mill in cash.

Almost 800 acres, former ski infrastructure (what is left of it), road frontage.

Did someone already post this in another thread? Not any usable ski infrastructure left. Trail have all grown in as well. The gondola was the worst conceived lift ever. Why would you put the base across busy route 16?

NH seacoast
Whittier is never coming back, wrong location, too far from population and too close to the MWV.

Moose is the one I would like to see come back. Close enough to the seacoast for night skiing, beer leagues and school programs. Give gunstock some competition in the lakes region. Would need to be a crotched style rehab with 100% lighting, high speed quad and 100% snowmaking. Would need deep pockets.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
Since we're NELSAPing...

Beacon Hill in NY is a shame it closed. Largest vertical drop in the region and huge population. I wanna say 700 vertical feet and right at the corner of I-84 and the NYS Thruway.

Mount Beacon is never coming back as a ski area. There's a Jehovah's Witnesses' Kingdom Hall around where the base area was, and Scenic Hudson, which administrates big sections of the mountain/ridge itself, wouldn't go for it either. Also, we don't really get the snow here like they did in the 60s - and even then, it wasnt enough. That's just the tip of the iceberg on why that's not happening.
Should there be a good dumping, you're more than welcome to hike/skin up the Casino trail and bash your way down through the woods. You'll probably see me up there!

1000 vertical feet. You can still see faint trail outlines from some angles, especially in early spring/late fall, but it gets tougher by the year.

That place would be nuts if it had stayed open. North facing and good water access
