Headed out early this morning and ventured across the CT/MA state line to the town of Agawam to participate in the Pioneer Valley Chapter of NEMBA's Toys for Tots ride on the trails of the Robinson State Forest. After adding the three toys I had brought with me to the pile, signing in and receiving my swag bag I put tires to dirt a little before 9am.
I rode solo and hit up the intermediate loop which turned into a really fun 10 mile pedal on some of the "buffest" single track I've seen south of the Kingdom Trails. Seriously, although the trails here are not in the least bit technical they have a ton of flow and seeing how the entire loop was completely clear of leaves (thanks guys), everything could be ridden with speed. I managed to roll around 10 miles in under and hour and a half with a healthy 1600 feet of climbing.
In summary, a beautiful morning to ride on some super nice trails and all for a great cause. How can you go wrong!
